This July, boAt is expanding its lineup in India with a new product for women called the Smart Ring Active. Scheduled for launch on July 20, this smart wearable is set to be significantly more affordable than its predecessor, the earlier boAt Smart Ring model.

Features and Specifications

The boAt Smart Ring Active will boast a stainless steel body and feature an auto health monitoring system. This includes multiple sensors to track heart rate, Blood Oxygen (SpO2) levels, sleep patterns, body temperature, and stress levels. According to boAt, the upcoming device will offer similar features to its predecessor, which supports short-form video app navigation, audio playback, and camera controls.

The current model also claims to provide up to seven days of battery life, 5ATM water resistance, and the ability to initiate SOS calls.

The new Smart Ring Active will be available in three color options and five sizes. It will also come with a portable magnetic charging case, enhancing its convenience and usability.

Expected Launch Price and Availability

The boAt Smart Ring Active will be introduced at a special launch price of Rs 2,999. Pre-booking for the device will begin on July 18 on Amazon, Flipkart, and the official boAt website.

In comparison, the previous boAt Smart Ring was launched at Rs 8,999 and was available in three different sizes: 17.40mm, 19.15mm, and 20.85mm.

The boAt Smart Ring Active promises to be an affordable and feature-rich option for consumers looking for advanced health monitoring and smart wearable technology.

Competition from Samsung

This announcement comes just days after Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Smart Ring at the Galaxy Unpacked Event earlier this month. Priced at approximately Rs 30,000 (S300), the Samsung Galaxy Smart Ring will be available for sale starting July 24. However, the launch details for the Samsung Galaxy Ring in India remain unknown. Given its high price, it is uncertain when this wearable device will be available in the Indian market.
