OnePlus Nord 4 was promised to be unveiled at the OnePlus event scheduled for 16th of July, but a few recent leaks has shown the OnePlus Nord 4 with an entirely new design for the OnePlus sub-brand. OnePlus has been tweaking performance with economic appearance in its OnePlus Nord series of mid ranged phones in India over the last couple of years. Both in terms of power and performance the phone is capable enough to deliver a hearty software experience, but they have had to prune some of their offering in this department such as the design and the rear facing cameras to attain the optimum price range and also remain competitive.
Among the numerous design leaks that have been commented online, there is a post in X by @OnePlusClub that reveals the phone and, according to the source, all the color options that the company intends to release the phone in. They come in variety of colors some have a two tone mint green finish, another has the two tone beauty of silver and of course there is always the simple black.
The ones that are silver finished also appear to have a textured back with rather large channels. In the green and the black colour variants, the rear surface is perfectly straight with bevelled corners on the flat sides. Both the plastic and the metal finishes reveal the new OnePlus Nord 4 design language and it comes with a new camera arrangement. This now positions the device with two horizontally arranged cameras and LED flash modules to be on the same line but slightly apart.
Again visible from the same picture is the three-stage alert slider switch, that remains present in the latest new (non-CE) OnePlus Nord smartphones.
While OnePlus has not disclosed the materials of its future models, the new leaks below and OnePlus’ own trailers point to metal and also include the OnePlus Nord 4. Other newly released live photos of the same phone display a metallic U-shaped unibody chasis which incorporates the rear panel bar with the topmost part - where the cameras are placed -left exposed.
Indeed, it will be very interesting to see what the final smartphone looks like as it will bring back memory, of days when phones used all metal designs (as they had reception problems) to signify ‘premiumness’. For instance, the OnePlus Nord 4 depicted in these images looks somewhat similar to the Pixel 2 series and the Pixel 3 series that was released between 2017 and 2018.
The OnePlus Nord 4 to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. The device could feature a 6. 74 inches OLED, 120Hz screen refresh rate. The phone is rumored to come with a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies. The smartphone will have a 5,500mAh battery and is likely to come with support for 100W fast wired charging.
