Apple recently announced that iOS 18 Beta 2 new features will be available to users starting Monday, 24th June. This is exactly two weeks after the announcement of iOS 18 at the Apple WWDC 2024 event in San Jose.
In addition to installing these new additions, the iOS 18 Beta 2 update will fix some bugs and change other new additions.
It has been reported that the iPhone maker has finally revealed two features that users will be able to use with the iOS 18 Beta 2 update. Those features include iPhone Mirroring and SharePlay screen sharing.
Apple has unveiled several updates for iOS 18. However, some of these updates are not in the Beta now. This leads to the feeling that Apple is either ‘saving’ some of these features or implementing them in a phased manner.
According to the details, certain of the features announced today won’t be available until the end of this year. The rest of the features are believed to be incorporated during the beta testing and testing stages.
The first feature to arrive in iOS gadgets after this upgrade is the iPhone Mirroring feature. This upcoming highlight will let users mirror their iPhone's display to that on their Mac. This will let users associate with their iPhones, get iPhone notifications on their Mac, and consistently drag and drop between their Mac and iPhone without even having to physically open their iPhone's screen.
The second feature set to arrive is SharePlay screen sharing. This highlight lets you draw on someone’s screen so they can see what they can do on theirs or control their screen and take activities themselves.
Apart from these new features, the iOS 18 Beta 2 upgrade will also fix a few bugs and make changes to other modern features.
Apple also reported that Apple intelligence and other iOS 18 highlights won’t be accessible in the EU this year due to the DMA being forced on them.
According to a report by the Verge, Apple Spokesperson Fred Sainz affirmed that iOS 18 Beta 2 will arrive next week and will include iPhone Mirroring and SharePlay screen sharing.

Apple Intelligence has been built into the newer versions of Apple operating systems, offering new features and enhancements for many applications it supports.
