Apple’s Weather app is set to introduce new features in iOS 18. These new features include “Feels like” temperature and home and work location forecast system.

The “Feels like” feature takes into account wind speed and humidity to offer a more precise depiction of the true sensation of outdoor temperature, and it will now be shown prominently at the top of the Weather app, directly beneath the real temperature.

The “feel like” feature will be positioned in the middle and top of the display giving users additional details about the day's schedule and equipping them with the necessary equipment to cope with the weather conditions.

Another important update in Apple's weather app is addition of new features: the home and work locations forecasts.

According to the report, iOS 18 will deliver new temperature readings on weather that will display both home and work forecasts on the app.

This improves the user's experience by providing more user-friendly and in-depth weather data.

The home and location forecast function has been introduced in Maps to simplify the journey from home to work or back, and Weather is the most recent addition, enabling it to monitor various places simultaneously.

Apple’s work on coming up with applications for various platforms, these enhancements to the Weather app are not only being released to the iPhone running on iOS 18 but also MACs and iPad. Once you upgrade your Mac to macOS Sequoia or your iPad to iPadOS 18, the improvements in the Weather app will be the same as well.

The 2024 WWDC for iOS 18 complies with numerous statements to the effect that this update will be the largest ever undertaking dedicated to improving the iPhones, especially with the notable addition of the Apple Intelligence on the cards.

The new functionalities in the upcoming iOS 18's Weather app demonstrate Apple's dedication to offering users a more user-friendly and beneficial resource for keeping up with weather updates.

By focusing on making the "Feels Like" temperature more prominent and streamlining the addition of Home and Work addresses, Apple is improving the app's usefulness and ease of use.

This smooth incorporation guarantees that users can effortlessly obtain weather predictions for the locations they visit frequently, without the need for manual data entry.
