OnePlus fans, mark your calendars! The OnePlus 13 is set to debut in China on October 31, and ahead of the launch, the company has teased some major upgrades over the OnePlus 12. Notably, the upcoming device will feature a significantly larger 6,000mAh battery, a considerable boost from the 5,400mAh battery found in its predecessor. Paired with OnePlus’s signature 100W SuperVOOC fast charging, the OnePlus 13 promises extended usage time with minimal charging interruptions.
The new 6,000mAh battery in the OnePlus 13 is designed to offer extensive usage time and quick recharging. According to recent teasers on Weibo, the 100W SuperVOOC charging technology can fully charge the device from 0 to 100% in just 36 minutes. This fast charging is further enhanced by the OnePlus 13’s support for the 100W Universal Fast Charging Standard, meaning users can charge their devices quickly even with third-party adapters.
In addition to wired charging, the OnePlus 13 supports 50W wireless charging, making it convenient for users on the go. The battery is said to provide up to 11 hours of continuous video playback or chat time on a single charge and an impressive 7.1 hours of navigation time for cycling enthusiasts.
Based on past information, the OnePlus 13 will most likely run on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset by Qualcomm. It is rumoured to pack as much as 24GB of RAM and about 1TB of internal storage which is respectable for any device. As for the software, the device is expected to run on ColorOS 15 which will be based on Android 15, and should work smoothly on the BOE Oriental X2 8T LTPO AMOLED display. This will be a 120Hz display which also features HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, which should improve the visual quality for movies and gaming.
The OnePlus 13 will have additional touches that are given to improve user usability. First, it will feature an alert slider located on the upper left side, stereo speakers, and an IR blaster enabling it to work as a remote for other supported devices. Other features include NFC support and a USB USB 3.2 Gen USB Type-C port which will ensure faster data transfers.
The device will come in three colour variants, Black obsidian secret realm, Blues moment and White dew morning dawn. In terms of design, the OnePlus 13 is set to launch on October 31 2024 at 4:00 pm Chinese time indicating that it is their latest phone to date, which brings with it high prospects in charging and flagship performance.
