Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI is seeking a Hindi AI Tutor for ₹5,400 per hour. It is a remote role. The temporary position will be for six months, open under xAI’s ‘AI Tutor-Bilingual’ job drive.
The key function of the AI tutor would be to collaborate with the tech team on dataset development to train the AI model and benchmark it. This means working with proprietary software on inputting and labelling language-specific data. The job requires a high level of quality that reflects nuances in the language.
The tutor would be expected to write projects to hone xAI generative models. They will also design annotation tools to smoothen the data-handling process.
For the position, applicants are supposed to satisfy all of the following requirements:
1. Conversational and written fluency in English and Hindi.
2. Research ability to browse through different sources of information and databases.
3. Exceptional interpersonal communication and analytical skills with strong organisational capabilities, especially in the cultural context.
4. Advanced reading skills to understand all types of documentation, including making judgments from incomplete data.
This position is perfect for professionals with a background in technical writing, journalism, or professional writing, with a speciality in at least one of the mentioned languages. A keen interest in technological development and innovation is also a must.
For the AI tutor role, the pay range is US$35 to US$65 an hour. Full-time positions come with additional benefits such as medical, vision, dental, disability insurance, and life insurance.
The work-from-home job time would be 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM PST during the first two weeks of training. After training, tutors will be able to set their schedules within their time zones.
xAI is also hiring language tutors with fluency in Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, German, Russian, Italian, French, Arabic, Indonesian, Turkish, Hindi, Persian, Spanish, and Portuguese.
