The new iPhone 16 series is hitting the market after the 'It's Glowtime' event by the company, Apple has cut the prices of its iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 series models in India. This means that both have gotten a price cut of ₹10,000 from their launch prices, making them further lucrative for Indian buyers.
As such, purchasing last year's models has been a very attractive option for anyone looking to save money but still gain access to premium technology. Apple supports iPhones with software updates for up to five years, so even older models remain secure and can run most of the latest features. But some of those newer features that were introduced around the time the iPhone 16 series came along, many involving Apple's AI-driven intelligence, for example, will not be available on these earlier models.
This means the base 128GB model of the iPhone 15, which debuted at ₹79,900, will sell for ₹69,900. The 256GB model has come down to ₹79,900 from ₹89,900, while the top-of-the-line model with 512GB will sell for ₹99,900, down from ₹1,09,900.
Meanwhile, price cuts have also been announced for all storage variants of the iPhone 14 that came this year. Its base model with 128GB will now be available for ₹59,900, unlike its earlier price of ₹69,900. The 256GB and 512GB variants will cost ₹69,900 and ₹89,900, respectively.
While the iPhone 15 is available in colors such as Black, Blue, Green, Pink, and Yellow, the iPhone 14 is available in Blue, Midnight Black, Purple, Red, Starlight White, and Yellow. These could be bought at cheaper prices from Apple's official store itself, along with other major e-commerce sites, Amazon and Flipkart, where extra discounts and offers will be running too.
Apple has stopped selling the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 13, along with the Watch Series 9 in India, as it looks to prune its product lineup and focus on promoting the new iPhone 16 lineup.
With the launch of the iPhone 16 series, the base price of the iPhone 16 is set at ₹79,900 while the base price of the iPhone 16 Plus has been set at ₹89,900. Apple has also introduced iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max variants with the latest A18 Pro chip.
