Why Mobile and Wearable Gaming?

There are a few reasons why people are digging these forms of gaming. Mobile gaming is becoming popular for many reasons but this could mainly be because it is cheaper than other forms of gaming like console gaming.

People would rather spend money on a smartphone rather than a gaming device because of its versatile functionality. People who would purchase gaming consoles are the ones who take gaming seriously or on a different level. Smartphones nowadays are becoming cheap yet powerful. This is why it's easy to understand why around 4 billion people already own a smartphone device.

When it comes to wearables like VR devices and smartwatches, it's not yet at the level of smartphones when it comes to pricing. It could still be pricey or expensive to others. However, as more companies release VR devices, we can expect that eventually, this could be something that not only gamers would bother to spend money on.

VR devices can not only be used for gaming. It can also be used in different types of entertainment like films and music. When smartwatches were first released, they also came at high prices. However, nowadays, many companies have already released smartwatch units that are deemed affordable.

Before, a smartwatch can only do a few functions that are related to tracking one's activities. However, it becoming more powerful. You don't just track your steps with it anymore. It already could function as a phone. There are even games that are developed with this device. For now, a smartwatch is not as necessary as a smartphone, but people are starting to recognize how it could be useful for them too.
