In India the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has introduced the country's first 'Quantum Computer Simulator (QSim) Toolkit', brought together by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). The project was financed by MeitY and evolved through a multi-institutional approach by the three institutes.
Being a part of the "Design and Development of Quantum Computing Toolkit (Simulator, Workbench) and Capacity Building" project, the team from IIT Roorkee assisted the teams from IISc, CDAC-Bangalore, CDAC-Hyderabad, in delivering the required skills in quantum computing and developing programs to be tested and implemented on the toolkit.
