Intel vs Nvidia: The battle to become the GPU king will continue in 2023 and beyond that

Tech analysts believe that the year 2022 has been exceptional for PC and tech fans. Nvidia, AMD, and Intel recently announced their latest CPUs for desktops, providing new solutions to build custom RIG for personal use, gaming, and handling the professional workload. Over the past several years, AMD and Nvidia have been fighting to take over the GPU market, but recently, Intel is also making its presence felt in the discrete GPU market. The company is now being touted for its launch of the Arc series of graphics cards to the 13th Gen Intel core processors. It is quite evident that the company has refreshed its entire line-up of processors with the latest models which are far more agile and power efficient. It seems like the company is preparing to compete with Nvidia and take over the reins of the GPU market. Intel vs Nvidia– let's dive in to analyze who will win the best GPU development company award in 2023!

Intel

Earlier, the tech community was quite certain that Intel's Arc lineup of video gaming GPUs has been rejected, right after a couple of years the technology was launched. However, these allegations were purely based on rumors and held to base. But the actual point that technologists did not fail to address is that Intel needed to upgrade its innovation game. The tech landscape is currently extremely competitive, and even so, the company is responsible for most of the advanced computing technology, Intel's prominence was slowly fading in the GPU market.

The consumer GPU market is now exclusively run by Nvidia and AMD. For quite a long period of time, Intel has been losing its business to other GPU manufacturers due to the lack of innovative approaches. The chipmaker has reported lower sales but there are chances that it can still salvage its profit margins. Recent reports claim that with Intel services like the 13th Gen raptor lake series of processors, the company can deliver CPUs within record time and increase in core count. This hybrid CPU model will enable Intel to offer improved multi-tasking capability by smartly allocating the right kind of core to efficiently improve operational performance.

Nvidia

Nvidia has some of the most powerful mainstream GPUs for gaming. Its RTX 4090 is one of the most extensively used GPUs in the industry. Despite the higher price, there is a lot of demand for this GPU in the tech and gaming industry. In the upcoming months, the company is about to announce more entry-level and mid-range Ada Lovelace GPUs like the RTX 4070 and the RTX 4060.

However, Nvidia's growth could not save it from recession. Booth Nvidia and AMD seemed to have a part of their total market cap this year, besides, a slowdown in shipments was also experienced by the laptop segment which saw a reduction of around 35% while the desktop graphics sales were down by 15%.

Bottom Line

Besides, Intel and Nvidia, several other companies like Asus, Lenovo, and Samsung are entering the laptop market. However, the real results as to which company will become the best in delivering avant-garde GPU services can be concluded from the Intel vs Nvidia battle.
