Every Ticket Issued by the Argentina Airline is an NFT

By distributing e-tickets as non-fungible tokens, the low-cost Argentina airline Flybondi is incorporating Web3 into its ticketing procedure (NFT).

The NFT ticketing startup TravelX, which began operations in September 2022, is now a part of the new integration, known as Ticket 3.0, which was unveiled on Thursday. The Algorand blockchain-based NFT ticketing solution enables users to autonomously rename, transfer, and sell their "NFT Tickets."

The NFT ticket, according to Flybondi, "offers a more flexible travel experience that allows passengers to even purchase in advance without having to clarify their travel plans or who the Travelers undoubtedly are. The airline will save money on delivering customer service in return for making more money from trading fees.
Facundo Martin Diaz, chief blockchain officer at TravelX, stated to CoinDesk in September that the company does not charge a fee when customers buy tickets initially but does charge a 2% transaction fee when customers buy tickets on the secondary market. A 2% cut goes to airlines as well, he added.
The Flybondi website allows users to purchase airline tickets using fiat money, and TravelX then produces an additional synchronized NFT ticket on top of the standard e-ticket. Next, using Flybondi, travelers can manage and store their NFTs by creating a Ticket 3.0 account. The airline has incorporated ticket-related terms and conditions into the smart contract for the NFT.
With this launch, we intend to have a good influence on the aviation business through innovation and an application of blockchain technology," Flybondi CEO Mauricio Sana said in a news release. Although it's never simple to change the rules of the game, we are aware that it is our goal to advance and give our customers new levels of flight freedom.
