Good morning Tech Fam, here's a quick tech update for you to catch on:
What's new today: Bitcoin's market value is still more than double that of Ether; Cadbury and Celebrations brand of products have launched a limited edition Rakhi that comes with a built-in Bluetooth connection.
Fast-Trach Insights: BMW Group has announced a factory that is controlled by 5G; Business profiles on Google can now set automated responses for common questions; Crypto fans wager on Ether surpassing Bitcoin; Cardano community gives one reason for its "Standalone" in larger crypto apace.
Ether's market value of around US$210 billion is less than half the size of Bitcoin's even after Ether surged 50% over the past month. And yet, believers are energized with a fresh optimism as a milestone approaches that they say will increase the chances of it happening, perhaps sooner rather than later.
Cardano has consistently faced criticism from the larger cryptocurrency space, the most significant being its comparison with a ghost chain. While that might seem puzzling to newbies, ADA whale, a Cardano community-focused Twitter account, seems to know the reason for Cardano's seeming lack of acceptance by the larger crypto community, dominated largely by Bitcoin and Ethereum.
It looks like any other traditional Rakhi that a sister would tie to their brother's wrists. However, hidden at the heart of the Rakhi is a proximity sensor, Bluetooth chip, and speaker. BMW Group has installed an open RAN private 5G network to test new technologies and train employees at its largest European vehicle production site. The automaker, which stated in 2020 that it wants to bring 5G to all its global production facilities, built its newest 5G testbed at its plant in Dingolfing.
Google is rolling out a new feature for Business Profiles that allows you to set up automated responses to frequently asked questions from customers. Using this feature, you can suggest questions for people to ask when messaging your business via your Google Business Profile. Similar to how a customer service chatbot works on business websites.
