Guide to apply for online MTech program at IISC Bangalore

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore is inviting applications for its online MTech program for the academic year 2024. Indian Institute of Science is offering MTech degree in data science and business analytics, artificial intelligence, and electronics and communication engineering.

The application process for the MTech course will begin on March 15. The program has been designed specifically for working professionals. The candidates for the postgraduate program will be selected based on a written test.

The selection test for the artificial intelligence (AI) and electronics and communication engineering (ECE) course is scheduled to be held on May 4 while the selection test for the data science and business analytics (DSBA) is scheduled to be held on May 5.

It is to be noted that over the last 11 years, IISc has become the premier institute for technological research, advanced scientific research, and education. Ranking among the topmost universities in India, IISC has the highest citation-per-faculty among all the universities across the world.

The eligibility criteria for the MTech programs are:

Data Science and Business Analytics:

  • The candidate must have completed BE, BTech, BS (4 years), or a diploma equivalent to it after 12th grade, or a postgraduate program in any academic field.
  • The candidate must possess a minimum of 60% marks or its equivalent.

Artificial Intelligence:

  • The candidate must have completed BE or BTech in CS/ECE/EE or a field related to it.
  • The candidate must score 70% marks or its equivalent.

Electronics and Communication Engineering:

  • The candidate must have completed BE or BTech in ECE/EE or a relevant field.
  • The candidate must score 60% marks or its equivalent.

The candidates need to provide marksheets of Class 10, Class 12, undergraduate degree, and postgraduate degree to be eligible for the program. Additionally, the selected candidates need to provide a sponsorship letter signed by the organization they are employed in to get admitted to the program.
