Designs Consistent with Scalable Systems Is Ungrammary’s USP” Says Swati Verma

Market Trends

Digital tools and digital interfaces are not only about the information they provide but also about the way it is organized for a user to access comfortably. A realistic experience combined with a continuous flow of relevant information will definitely make users more engaged and interested in the application. Given the divided user attention over numerous apps or digital tools, it is only a nuanced UX/UI design that can hold them for a long. Ungrammary, a UX/UI designing platform has charted a successful path in designing user-friendly applications and tools, tapping into behavioral analytics and human-computer interaction design making it one of the leading UX studios in India delivering supreme user experience to business applications.

1.Kindly brief us about the company, its specialization, and the services that your company offers.

Ungrammary is a UX-driven organisation, and our expertise lies in designing; Enterprise, Saas, and Consumer-facing applications. Designing each category of products requires different research methods, design strategies, and skillsets. Our team is multidisciplinary in that nature. Organisations can have multiple products under one umbrella, such as consumer-facing applications, web portals for admin, and intranet for employees. Together they form an ecosystem of products that should have similar experiences and be well integrated. While designing these products, Ungrammary takes care of how design could be consistent with the help of scalable design systems.

2.With what mission and objectives, the company was set up? In short, tell us about your journey since the inception of the company.

We started small with a simple mission to design world-class digital products, but soon we evolved into a global standard design firm. India has a good name in IT, globally, and now it's time for India to emerge as the international design hub. We want to establish the same sense of pride and trust with the world "designed in India." which is currently associated with "made in India".

3.Mention some of the awards, achievements, recognitions, and clients' feedback that you feel are notable and valuable for the company.

Awards Achieved:

We are also working on their premium segment banking comprising the NRI platform and Investments products.

4.Brief us about the proactive Founder/CEO of the company and his/her contributions to the company and the industry.

Rahul and Swati are the two founders of the company. The key responsibility of Swati is to drive the growth of Ungrammary. She heads the business collaborations and alliances at Ungrammary. She is actively involved in growing the clientele base of Ungrammary. Rahul's primary focus is on training the team, quality control, and building creative process and sales. Regarding the industry, our mission is to work on projects that have a global impact. We want to see India as the global hub of Design, and we are moving one step at a time toward that goal.

5.Tell us how your company is contributing to the UI-UX industry of the nation and how the company is benefiting the clients.

After the covid, organizations have realized the importance of digital adoption. Although there are many IT or technology companies in India helping these organizations with digital transformation, there is a scarcity of User experience design companies that can make the adoption smooth. There is a substantial experiential gap between what businesses want and how consumers use their products, and we are helping companies to reduce this gap. It's a Billion-dollar industry and will only evolve from here. Tech Matured companies like Google, Facebook, Apple, and Microsoft spend millions on User experience design. In India, the technology shift is happening in Banking and financial sectors. We are proud to say that our banking technology and experience are more technologically advanced than developed countries, and we are happy to contribute to it.

6.Kindly mention some of the major challenges the company has faced till now.

When we started, India's UX/UI design market was not mature. Even today it is the same but has evolved to a great extent. Many organizations were unaware of the term UX/UI design and considered it either part of Frontend development or Visual design. Only a handful of startups and enterprises envisioned providing a world-class user experience to their customers. At that time, our best shot was to tap the global market. But there, our direct competition was with the European countries, which are design hubs of the world. In the initial two years, we worked hard to build our brand in the international market to get overseas projects. In the third year, we started getting the result. It was only after Covid that we saw a rapid shift in UX/UI demand in India. People have understood that a good user experience is not just an aesthetic add-on; it is a must-have in their platform. It is still a long way to go, but we are covering it step by step with each passing day.

7.What is your biggest USP that differentiates the company from competitors?

Driven by designers, not investors.

Ungrammary is the only major UX studio in India where business owners are involved with creators and designers. As we grow, creativity will always be the core of our offerings. We are 100% bootstrapped; hence we have 100% freedom to commit to only those projects that we believe in.

Wisdom of a professional, zeal of a kid

We have the compatibility and professionalism to compete with large IT giants in a niche UX design segment, but at the same time, we are bold, fresh, and unconventional. We are an ideal choice when large corporations are looking for new ideas.

8.Please brief us about the products/services/solutions you provide to your customers and how they get value out of it

We provide user experience design and research services to our customers. With digital advancements, a good user experience is the need of the hour for any organization, and we help organizations achieve it. A good user experience in return, brings in high customer satisfaction, good NPS, and retention for the company

9.How do you plan to revolutionize the Indian/US/Isreal market, and what are your plans to tap the market?

We plan to stay focused on user experience and interface design. For now, we aim to become the UX UI design partners of the top financial institutions and enterprises in India and globally. Indian financial system is already way more advanced than the rest of the world, and it is a great opportunity for us to be a part of that ecosystem and bring further advancement to it. For tapping the market, we have one simple philosophy good work attracts good work. So, we'll continue doing what we are good at, whether it is for the Indian market or globally.

10.What is your roadmap for the UI-UX market? Where and how do you see growth coming in for the UI-UX sector?

When we started, India's UX/UI design market was not mature. It is not yet today, but it has evolved a lot. Many organizations were unaware of the term UX/UI design and considered it either part of Frontend development or Visual design. Only a handful of startups and enterprises envisioned providing world-class user experience to their customers. It is still a long way to go, but we are moving toward it one step at a time.
