The national average salary in India for a Data Scientist is ₹10,23,915 (US$14,444.4). Though, the location of the data scientist also plays a vital role when it comes to finalizing the salary for a given data science project.

There is certainly an extra advantage to working in specific cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi that have housed by top data science talent and thriving tech companies.
