Lumia has announced the launch of its layer 2 network for Real World Assets (RWAs). Its deployment will deepen onchain liquidity for RWAs, increase access, and unlock new use cases for tokenized assets. A modular L2 optimized to deliver greater capital efficiency, Lumia is one of the first rollups to be designed specifically for RWAs. Tokenized assets representing real estate, commodities, art, equities, and financial indexes can all be issued on Lumia.

Lumia is one of the first L2s to support Polygon AggLayer, enabling near-instantaneous cross-chain transactions utilizing ZK proofs. AggLayer also supports enhanced UX with faster loading times. Greater capital efficiency is ensured by Lumia Stream which allows traders to extract more value from every trade made using Lumia L2.

Designed to overcome the problem of liquidity fragmentation, Lumia has been engineered with deep liquidity at its core. This is achieved through its liquidity module, Lumia Stream, which allows Lumia L2 and other DeFi protocols to access large liquidity pools by combining the most liquid CEXs and DEXs into a single decentralized source. Lumia Stream also offers new opportunities for liquidity providers, delivering a level of capital efficiency never previously witnessed on-chain. For example, Lumia Stream’s unmatched capital efficiency has been displayed on 1inch RFQ with $8M volume settled using less than $30K in deployed capital for 28 assets.

The launch of Lumia’s mainnet will see the existing $ORN token, currently listed on global tier-1 exchanges like Binance, KuCoin, OKX, and others, rebranded and swapped to $LUMIA. The LUMIA token will perform a number of functions for network participants including transaction fees, node operators, and more.

Lumia’s L2 will go live with a host of launch partners and service providers onboarded along with a grant program to be launched soon for builders.
