DappRadar and Opera Join Forces Give Web3 Adoption a Much Needed Boost

IndustryTrends

With this partnership, Opera Crypto Browser users can now explore and discover dapps via DappRadar's dedicated "dapp store".

DappRadar, the world's dapp store, joined hands with Opera in order to boost the adoption of Web3 technology in the world. This partnership will not only allow users to take full advantage of what crypto has to offer but it also enables DappRadar's reliable data to be shared with Opera Crypto Browser users through DappRadar's API, in a user-friendly front-end design.

DappRadar CEO Skirmantas Januskas explained: "Over the past years, the number of Web3 decentralized applications (dapps) has exploded in number, with the dapp industry reaching a tipping point with millions of users engaged. I see our partnership with Opera, with its growing base of hundreds of millions monthly users, as the start of a new era of dapp innovation and adoption."

Web3 Adoption is need of the hour?

Web3 adoption is growing at an unprecedented rate. In the past year, we've seen a surge in interest and adoption of decentralized technologies like blockchain, cryptocurrency and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This trend is only expected to continue in the coming years as more people begin to realize the benefits of these technologies.

There are a number of reasons why we're seeing this rapid adoption of Web3 technologies. For one, they offer a more secure and private way to interact with the internet. With data breaches becoming increasingly common, people are looking for alternatives to traditional centralized platforms that are less susceptible to hacks.

Live dapp data provides Opera users unique insight into valuable metrics, such as top dapps in each category by users in the past 24 hours. Users have ready access to detailed information of more than 12,000 dapps over 49 protocols across categories,  including NFT's, collectibles, games and DeFi, enabling them to quickly sort by a dapp's total assets for example, in order to decide whether to find out more about a particular dapp.

Opera's crypto browser project

In January 2022, Opera unveiled its Crypto Browser Project, with beta versions of the new web browser immediately available for PC, Mac and mobile phones, delivering a new web experience with Web3 at its core.

Opera originally launched the first web browser with an integrated cryptocurrency wallet and basic Web3 support back in 2018, but in January 2022, beta release of the Crypto Browser Project marks the beginning of a new journey. Backed by a strong product team and with the aim of accelerating the evolution of the next generation of the Web.

With this partnership, Opera Crypto Browser users can now explore and discover dapps via DappRadar's dedicated "dapp store" integrated into the browser. The integration of DappRadar's rich reliable data to Opera's Crypto Browser provides a major improvement for Web3 users, who are getting a solution that is both understandable and convenient for both mobile and desktop users.
