According to recent research, French teens are more inclined than older residents towards cryptocurrency investments. According to Franceinfo, 15% of French individuals aged 18 to 24 have entered the cryptocurrency market. The publication said that this figure is significantly higher than the national norm. As per Franceinfo, 9% of French individuals are said to have purchased digital currency at some time.
According to the media outlet, coins are becoming more and more popular among teenagers and young people in France, even though cryptocurrency services are "prohibited for minors."
However, this "doesn't stop some teenagers" from "getting started" with cryptocurrency trading, according to the outlet.
An unidentified "17-year-old high school student" stated he was "very discreet" when dealing with coins.
The outlet also reported a young guy called Mathias Vallet, who said he "started" trading cryptocurrency "at 19."
Vallet stated that the "adrenaline" appeal and the prospect of making significant money prompted him to make multiple ventures into the cryptocurrency market.
Vallet said that his market earnings had helped him "finance" his university "studies," and added:
And French adolescents aren't the only ones getting into cryptocurrency. Scammers are eager to capitalize on the surging French crypto craze as Bitcoin prices soar.
On March 7, national TV TF1 claimed that "several hundred people" had filed complaints in Paris against the operators of OmegaPro, a now-defunct cryptocurrency investing platform.
On X (Twitter), TV personality Élise Lucet dissociated herself from many cryptocurrency frauds that used her appearance.
She claimed that she had "nothing to do with" a series of "false press articles" designed to "promote cryptocurrency platforms."
The TV presenter published screenshots of false Le Monde news pieces about her that had been circulated on social media.
Lucet wrote: The majority of the reports were fraudulent interviews with the actress, in which she "revealed" the "secrets of her wealth."
