Bitcoin dropped as much as 2 percent but managed to hold the 29,000 mark, while Ethereum was trading a percent lower and slipped below US$ 1,850 levels. HashKey said it received a license update from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, allowing the exchange to expand its business scope from serving professional investors to retail users.
The Hong Kong-based exchange received a license to operate in the city last November, making it one of two licensed crypto exchanges in Hong Kong besides rival exchange OSL.
Curve Finance and other victims of this week's crypto lending heist have offered their hackers a 10% bounty in exchange for the return of the rest of their tokens.
"You will have no risk of us pursuing this further, no risk of law enforcement issues, etc.," Curve, Metronome, and Alchemix wrote in an on-chain message sent to a hacker's Ethereum address. The trio gave a deadline of August 6 at 0800 UTC, at which point their bounty will become a vigilante payout to whoever provides information that leads to the hacker's arrest and conviction.
