Big Eyes Coin and Ethereum: How Presales Can Impact a Cryptocurrency’s Success

Market Trends

Ah, the pre-sale. What crypto lover doesn't want to get in on one? Not only do you get a bunch of super cheap tokens, but you also get access to a bunch of cool perks.

A pre-sale is a sort of sneak peek at a new crypto coin. Think of it like a movie trailer. It's a way to create hype, generate conversation, and raise funds. The main draw of a crypto pre-sale is, of course, the chance to buy crypto tokens at a significant discount. Here, we compare two cryptocurrencies: Ethereum (ETH) and Big Eyes Coin (BIG). The former is a famous crypto giant, and the latter is the newest meme coin on the scene. We'll look at how pre-sales impacted the token's success.

Ethereal Ethereum

Did you know Ethereum had a pretty legendary pre-sale with its token Ether (ETH)? Camilla Russo even wrote about it in her book "The Infinite Machine," which goes deep into the history of Ethereum. In 2014, investors could buy 2,000 ETH for one Bitcoin for fourteen days. The pre-sale lasted for 42 days in total and raised around $18 million, or 31,000 BTC.

What's interesting is that even though investors could buy as much ether as they wanted, they didn't immediately get the token in return after sending in their bitcoin. They just got a wallet and password that would allow investors to access the ETH after Ethereum launched. The pre-sale helped launch the open-source Ethereum system used to deploy smart contracts. Investing in the project during this time turned out to be a great return on investment. ETH is ranked number 2 on CoinMarketCap and has a price of $1,567.

Eyes on the Prize with Big Eyes Coin

While Ethereum is a well-established cryptocurrency, Big Eyes Coin is still in its infancy stage. This kitty meme coin is already on its way to Ethereum's greatness, smashing records with its pre-sale. They have raised $31 million out of $50 million in its 12th pre-sale phase making crypto history.

BIG is here to stay in a big way by giving back to its community. They have a strong community of supporters and a club for NFT holders called Sushi Crew. They have also made good use of gamification; they offer lootboxes! Starting from $99, customers can purchase Cute Boxes, Kitty Vaults, Super Saiyan Boxes, and Excali-Paw Chests, with attractive rewards hidden within them. This cute kitty is BIG on charity as well, promising to donate 5% of its profits to save the Earth's oceans.

What did we Learn?

Pre-sales are a great way to entice potential investors. While Ethereum didn't offer much in the way of rewards in its pre-sale, investing in the cryptocurrency was worth it, as ETH would later increase in value. The new cool cat Big Eyes Coin is following in the footsteps of its predecessor and going bigger, offering lootboxes, giving to charity, and building a dedicated fanbase. Here's hoping BIG gets big enough to compete with a crypto giant like Ethereum.
