Bonk and Dogs are two projects well-known for hitting crypto headlines over the past few months. Yet, some of their luster is starting to fade after the introduction of a new altcoin known as Raboo. But what is Raboo, and can BONK and DOGS keep up? Read on to find out.
Launched back on Christmas day in 2022, Bonk was arguably the project that kickstarted the massive wave of Solana meme coins. Airdropping 50% of the total supply to the community, BONK immediately gained popularity and rose several thousand percent. However, it really shone in 2023 and 2024, rising from $0.0000002 at the start of October 2023 to $0.000025 by December and $0.000041 by May 2024—an approximate 20,000% jump since October.
With BONK relying primarily on hype, its valuation has taken a hit recently. It’s currently down to $0.00001982, a drop of more than 50% since its peak. While there are expectations that BONK could reclaim new all-time highs this year, it faces significant competition from other Solana meme coins and newer faces like DOGS and $RABT.
DOGS is a new meme coin built on The Open Network (TON), a Layer-1 blockchain closely associated with Telegram. DOGS marked one of the largest airdrops in crypto history, distributing over 400 billion tokens to more than 40 million users. It subsequently recorded around $2 billion on the first day of trading across various exchanges.
DOGS initially pumped, initially rising from $0.00124 to an all-time high of $0.00164 with a market cap of $865 million. However, it’s gradually bled out over recent weeks, falling to $0.00086 at a valuation of $448 million today. DOGS will undoubtedly benefit from exposure to Telegram’s huge audience as time goes on, but it remains to be seen if the token will see new all-time highs soon.
While the outlook for BONK and DOGS looks uncertain, some savvy investors are placing their money in the Raboo meme coin presale. Expected to seriously rival these two tokens, Raboo is a new altcoin backed by an AI-driven SocialFi ecosystem.
Raboo has recently smashed past $2.5 million in its ongoing presale, up 90% to hit $0.0057. But, analysts see the potential 143% left to go before the presale’s conclusion as a precursor to a potential 10,000% spike when the broader market catches on.
Raboo uses AI to gather memes from social media and feed them into a tool known as Rabooscan. Users can then monetize their creations, either through regular competitions or via Raboo’s Post-to-Earn platform.
