He was involved in the multi-billion-dollar merger and acquisition process between GTECH and IGT from 2014 to 2015. In 2016 he was selected by Mr. Diego Piacentini, former SVP of Amazon and Apple, at that time Extraordinary Commissioner for Digital Transformation of the Italian Government, to form a team of experts to lead digital transformation journey of the Italian Public Administration. In his role as Chief Data Officer of the Government, he ideated and led the DAF, Data Analytics Framework, a project aiming at bringing Big Data and AI capabilities in the public sector, unifying all public sector data to better serve citizens and public administrations.

He has shown exceptional competence in various companies creating and developing analytics and data teams: from engineering to platform design and construction, from data science to data governance.
