The cloud service of e-commerce giant Amazon, Amazon Web Services AWS is hiring to expand its clientele in the Web3 space.
A job posting on LinkedIn a week ago is looking for a "Senior GTM Specialist, Web3" to work in its "Web3 Go-To-Market (GTM) team, which is in charge of increasing Web3 workload adoption on AWS. AWS is hiring to grow in web3 space.
AWS has created purpose-built tools for blockchain companies that want to run either a centralised ledger database that maintains an immutable and cryptographically verifiable record of transactions, or a multi-party, fully managed blockchain network that helps eliminate intermediaries or both.
According to the website, AWS servers host one-quarter of all Ethereum nodes. Blockworks reported earlier this week, citing anonymous sources, that Amazon is preparing a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace. Chinese tech behemoths such as Ant Group and Tencent have already launched their NFT marketplaces, though Tencent halted sales on its Huanhe platform after only a year in operation. According to TechCrunch, AWS is the largest cloud infrastructure provider in the world, with 34% of the global market as of Q3 2022.
