How is LAMEA Using VR and AR in Manufacturing?

Shiva Ganesh

In the manufacturing sector, AR and VR technology helps in identifying and removing hazards

The industrial industry in Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa (LAMEA) is progressively adopting augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), signaling a substantial change in how industries function. The manufacturing scene is changing due to the adoption of AR and VR technology, which is also increasing productivity and raising product quality.  Although AR and VR technologies are not entirely new, their use in manufacturing is more recent. These technologies are currently utilized to model industrial processes, build virtual prototypes, and offer on-the-job support to workers.

The result is a manufacturing process that is more effective and efficient, which lowers errors and boosts output. AR and VR are being used in the Middle East to speed up the design and production process. These technologies let engineers view and test their designs before they are built. As a result, prototyping takes less time and costs less money, and production is more accurate and effective.

Despite the many advantages they offer, there are obstacles to AR and VR adoption in the manufacturing sector of LAMEA. Among them are regulatory concerns, a need for more skilled people who can use these technologies, and a lack of knowledge of their advantages. Yet these difficulties should be overcome as more businesses begin seeing AR and VR's advantages.
