A Logo War is What Meta’s Metaverse Dream is Facing Right Now

Meta's new logo controversy is about to set its metaverse dreams on fire!

When the social media giant Facebook announced that it will rebrand its name to Meta, some users and tech enthusiasts praised its initiative, while some other critics stated that this rebranding strategy will not help Mark Zuckerberg from gaining its lost userbase or its reputation. The new name was announced during the company's Oculus Connect event, where the new logo was also revealed. While the name change was appreciated and trolled accordingly, Facebook's new logo that represented the infinity symbol created grave problems for the company. Amid the falling market stock value of Meta, a German migraine app company named M-sense Migräne claimed that Mark Zuckerberg copied their logo and that they were the true creators of the infamous 'infinity logo'. Well, this is one of the many factors that are hindering Meta to advance its metaverse dream.

M-sense Migräne is a Berlin-based health startup that offers treatment programs for people suffering from migraines and headaches. The company sneered at the Meta Platforms company and said that they feel quite honored that the company was inspired by their logo of the migraine app and that the company will also inspiration by M-sense's data privacy policies. M-sense's officials also mentioned Zuckerberg saying that probably he will be able to treat the migraine caused to him since the rebranding. It is unlikely that the firm will take legal actions against Facebook, but anti-Zuckerberg enthusiasts are quite ready for a scandal like that! Besides after Meta's rebranding, another Chicago-based tech firm known as the Meta Company took Facebook to court as it alleged that the social media giant stole its name and 'livelihood' by rebranding its name as 'Meta'.

Currently, Zuckerberg is busy with Meta's metaverse purposes, where he attempts to dominate the space by introducing an array of VR headsets with advanced facilities. It is not likely that the company's reputation will be adversely affected, but it is safe to say that if more of these types of allegations rise, it will directly hit Meta's market reputation and it will lose more of its users.
