Tech Mahindra, a technology services, software, and digital transformation leader has announced the extension of its engagement with CISCO that would involve providing the NGFW modernization solution to customers worldwide. This alliance will also enhance the aspects of security service offerings in the Tech Mahindra business model, geographical expansion in the market, and skill development for employees.
However, it improves standard firewall solutions, features, or functions, including a centralized policy that manages policies in both on-premises and cloud settings. It correlates threat intelligence from Talos and offers broad modular endpoint and network protection against malware. NGFW is versatile to accommodate the changes in the networks and security laid out in the network fabric and comes in different forms, such as hardware-based, software-based, or virtual-based forms.
Kunal Purohit, the Chief Digital Services Officer at Tech Mahindra, stated, “While firewalls are critical to the organization’s network security, they can be time-consuming, complex, and expensive to deploy, manage, and operate. The partnership with Cisco marks a milestone in providing a unique, robust, efficient, and cost-effective solution for the firewall modernization roadmap.”
Nick Holden, Vice President of Global and Strategic Partners and Ecosystem Co-Sell, CISCO, commented, “As global customers continue to modernize their infrastructure, they’ll need a next-generation AI-powered firewall solution that scales as their network expands, combines multiple security functions into one platform, and provides threat intelligence across different security layers. Our partnership with Tech Mahindra offers these customers a specialized way to customize and implement these firewall capabilities based on their unique business and network needs.
The collaboration between Tech Mahindra and Cisco utilizes Tech Mahindra’s strong network and Security Engineering Consultancy capabilities. Tech Mahindra has firmed up teams in key regions such as the Americas, Europe, and APAC. In 2023, Tech Mahindra also devised a suite of services that would help construct and sustain flexible, protected, collaborative, and hybrid networks through the launch of a Cisco Business Unit.
