After a relatively subdued start to the year, February 2019 has been a good month with PE and VC investments recording a strong performance. With the market volatility reduced, investments and exits in listed companies have bounced back resulting in a frenzy growth over the last month. Here are the Top 10 well-funded AI startups of February 2019.

1. Horizon Robotics

Investment Amount: $600 million

Key Investors: SK China, SK Hynix

Horizon Robotics is one of China's leading designers of artificial intelligence chips and a leading Artificial Intelligence startup. The startup integrates top co-founding team that combines algorithms, software, hardware, and chip development capabilities. In addition, Horizon Robotics has as a strong R&D team with rich industrial experience.  Horizon Robotics is funded by 17 investors with SK China and SK Hynix being the lead investors in the February Funding

2. Sight Diagnostics

Investment Amount: $27.8 million

Key Investors: Longliv Ventures

Sight Diagnostics, an Israeli medical devices startup deploying AI technology to speed up blood testing, closed a $27.8 million Series C funding round on Feb 14, 2019. This funding is led by the Israel based CK Hutchison Group's VC firm Longliv Ventures.

Sight Diagnostics has raised a total of $52.8M in funding over 4 rounds. The funding in February was raised from a Series C round.

3. ViSenze

Investment Amount: $20 million

Key Investors: Gobi Partners, Sonae IM

 ViSenze is an artificial intelligence startup headquartered in Singapore that develops advanced visual search and image recognition solutions for businesses into online advertising, eCommerce and mCommerce.

ViSenze is currently funded by 16 investors and has raised a total of $34M in funding over 6 rounds. The Singapore based startup received its latest funding from a Series C round on Feb 19, 2019.

4.  Peltarion AB

Investment Amount: $20 million

Key Investors: Euclidean Capital

Peltarion Corporation is based in Stockholm, Sweden. The startup specializes in artificial neural networks, adaptive systems and makes software tools. Peltarion Corporation has raised a total of $36.5 million in funding over 3 rounds, the latest funding was raised on Feb 14, 2019 from Series A round.

5. Stellar Cyber Inc.

Investment Amount: $13.2 million

Key Investors: Valley Capital Partners

Stellar Cyber Inc. was founded in 2015 and based in Silicon Valley; California allows enterprises to proactively detect security breaches into computer systems and networks prior to any damage or data theft.

Stellar Cyber Inc. has raised a total of $14.7 million in funding over the 2 rounds. Its latest funding was raised on Feb 26, 2019 from a Series A round.

Pinpoint based in Texas, US uses data science to advance the way teams deliver software. The startup has raised a total of $16.5 million in funding over 2 rounds. Its latest funding was raised on Feb 14, 2019 from a Series A round.

Investment Amount: $6.4 million

Senseon founded in 2017 in London develops a platform informing firms of cyber threats in real time. The startup has raised a total of $6.4 million in funding over 2 rounds. Its latest funding was raised on Feb 19, 2019 from a Seed round.

8. Niramai

Investment Amount: $6 million

Key Investors: BEENEXT­, Dream Incubator

NIRAMAI, based from Bangalore, India stands for "Non-Invasive Risk Assessment with Machine Intelligence". The startup is developing novel software to detect breast cancer at a much earlier stage than traditional methods or self-examination.

The Bangalore based start-up has raised a total of $6.1 million in funding over 3 rounds. The company's latest funding was raised on Feb 25, 2019 from a Series A round.

9.  Antescofo

Investment Amount: $4.5 million

Key Investors: Daphni, OneRagtime

Antescofo based in Paris, France allows for automatic recognition of music score position and tempo. This automatic recognition comes from a real time audio Stream coming from performer(s), making it possible to synchronize an instrumental performance with computer realized elements.

The start-up has raised a total of $4.5 million in funding over 2 rounds. Its latest funding was raised on Feb 18, 2019 from a Seed round.

10.  Aspectiva

Investment Amount: $4 million

Key Investors: Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP), Union Five

Aspectiva's AI solution transforms product reviews into a smart shopping experience, thus assisting online shoppers to find the product that matches best to their needs. It's unique NLP technology analyses numerous amounts of reviews and surfaces what people say about any product from any category to help shoppers make informed decisions.

Over 4 rounds, Aspectiva has raised a total of $8.2 million in funding. Its latest funding was raised on Feb 26, 2019 from a Venture – Series Unknown round.

Investment Amount: $2.5 million

Key Investors: Resolute Ventures

Zone7 makes AI-powered athlete injury predictions and creates personalized athlete profiles to predict injuries recommending optimal training drills. Zone7 collects data from medical profiles, physio & screening products and wearable devices to ensure accuracy in its analytics.

The startup has raised a total of $2.5 million in funding over 1 round. The latest funding came from a Seed round raised on Feb 12, 2019.
