Asian countries have a long way to go. Because governments are investing in AI-driven technologies, Asia will emerge as a technological superpower soon

Artificial intelligence's current enthralling trends are sweeping the globe, affecting all industries. Face recognition, self-driving vehicles, improved online outcomes and corporate growth are all possible with AI. It should come as no surprise that developed, emerging, and underdeveloped countries are all concentrating on AI adoption to improve their prospects and progress. While AI technology grows throughout the world and beyond, certain big AI powers are vying for first place.

The top 10 Asian countries leading the AI race throughout the world are listed below:

China

China's ambitions to become the world's AI superpower have always been ambitious. In light of this objective, China's State Council has said that by 2030, the country would be a US$150 billion AI leader worldwide. The goal is not just ambiguous, but it also looks achievable, given that it is currently a global leader in AI research. Furthermore, compared to other large countries, the country has published more research publications on deep learning. The largest advantage stems from the country's large internet-using population (approximately 750 million people), which creates a vast amount of digital data for businesses to handle.

Japan

Society 5.0, a Japanese vision, strives to better human existence and strive toward a smart society by utilising strategic breakthroughs and technology. Supportive policies and funding from the public and private sectors are aiding AI development in Asian nations such as Japan. China and Japan, two of the world's largest exporters of industrial robots, are putting AI research into practice. To strengthen the economy, AI is being extensively used in the banking, retail, and healthcare sectors.

India

India is witnessing a tremendous digital revolution as a fast-expanding country. The impact of digital technologies on economic elements and GDP, which is 8%, may be used to assess the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the country. The ratio is expected to increase to 60% during the following two years. India's NITI Aayog policy has launched a National AI Strategy to oversee research and development of developing AI technologies. Large technological conglomerates and startups are driving AI adoption in India and the phenomenon has played a key part in the country's fast digital transformation.

Singapore

Singapore, the city-state, is Asia's wealthiest country, with a per-capita GDP of US$107,690 (PPP Int$). Singapore's riches are due to a low degree of government corruption and a business-friendly environment, not to oil. Many investors from all over the globe travel to Singapore to do business, and they use AI to bring their money with them.

Malaysia

Malaysia has a score profile that is remarkably similar to Vietnam's. This implies the country excels in the "Movers" and "Open for Business" categories, albeit this hasn't benefited the country's equities markets, which have underperformed those of other Asian countries over the previous five years. In the realm of Artificial Intelligence, it has also advanced significantly.

The country is rich in biodiversity, with over 80,000 animal species, and it employs AI to its maximum potential.

The attention of investors has been drawn to the situation. Vietnam's share markets have been among Asia's best performers over the previous year.

Philippines
