Tesla's AI Day shows off humanoid robots but not under AI ethics or laws

Elon Musk has announced that he intended to present a working version of the company's humanoid robot, Optimus, at Tesla's AI Day, 2022. It has now come and gone, settling down into the history books for all to reexamine and analyze to their heart's content. Elon Musk stated that he sees AI Day as a recruiting tool for Tesla as it seeks to grow its robots section. This highly anticipated showcase is said to provide Tesla and Elon Musk an opportunity to strut their stuff and show off their latest AI advances.

Tesla's cars and self-driving projects are likely to take a backseat to a robot named Optimus. At Tesla AI Day, the business hasn't yet provided information on how to watch the AI event and it will bring you up to speed in a moment and especially cover some significant AI. Tesla is arguably the world's biggest robotics company because our cars are semi-sentient robots on wheels. Musk's electric car company is the place to work for the engineers he needs to make good on his promises for autonomous vehicles.

Tesla's AI day showcase:

Musk indicated that the walking robots will produce on the order of two times the economic output as apparently compared to humans. The AI developers and engineers that either presented or in a herculean manner have been doing the behind-the-scenes AI work at Tesla. As mentioned on social media, some of the AI developers and engineers on the stage with Musk appeared to silently cringe at various of his over-the-top proclamations. Many AI developers and engineers consider AI Ethics to be an afterthought topic.

Ethics and AI Laws related considerations don't seem to have garnered notable online attention. AI Ethics principles and guidelines that many nations have identified and adopted. Three main topics cover the Tesla AI Day particulars. These are making of a walking robot that has humanoid characteristics, Advances associated with Tesla's Autopilot and so-called Full Self-Driving, and Efforts associated with the Tesla specialized supercomputer named Dojo

By and large, most of the action and attention for Tesla AI Day 2022 was focused on these kind-of walking robots. Tesla's full self-driving system in recent months, says Tesla cars are not fully-self driving yet. FSD is Tesla's advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that is definitely not fully autonomous. Speaking of Autopilot and FSD, we ought to make sure that some air time is given to that part of the Tesla AI Day.

The advances related to Autopilot and FSD have not garnered similar attention, nor did the details about Dojo get much newsprint. Musk said Dojo will have Tesla's own chips and architecture. Two U.S. senators also called on the Fair Trade Commission to investigate Tesla's claims of Full Self-Driving and Autopilot. Musk also recently tweeted that Tesla's AI team has an end-of-month deadline for actually smart summon and auto park, both of which are features of Tesla's Enhanced Autopilot, it's $6,000 ADAS.

During Tesla's first-quarter earnings call this year, the celebrity executive told investors the company continues to work on the 5'8 robot, which will rely on Tesla's work in neural networks and its Dojo advanced supercomputer. There is a Tesla specialized supercomputer named Dojo that enables the development and testing of ML/DL/ANNs using large-scale processing capabilities. Dojo can provide double duty. AI developers assigned to Autopilot and FSD can use Dojo for their work efforts.
