LinkedIn began testing an AI tool for creating AI-generated posts and adverts for users

LinkedIn, the leading platform for professional networks, is testing a new method in which users can use generative AI to write posts that can be shared with their network as updates on the platform.

Keren Baruch, Director of Product at LinkedIn, posted the information on LinkedIn. When posting on LinkedIn, you generally know what you want to say. However, turning a great idea into a full-blown post can take time and effort. As a result, she stated in the post, "We're starting to test a way for members to use generative AI directly within the LinkedIn share box."

Like other AI bots, the new LinkedIn feature will help users write smart and precise posts in less time. The user will first need to create a prompt of at least 30 words that outlines what they want to say, basically their thoughts and point of view. After that, they can create a first draft using generative Artificial Intelligence, which they can then edit and refine as necessary.

LinkedIn introduced a generative AI tool earlier this year that can assist users in writing ad copy. The tool creates headlines and introductory text for advertisements using data from the LinkedIn platform. Additionally, it allows users to modify the content to ensure that it conforms to their brand's language.

ChatGPT's arrival and significant advancements in generative AI have encouraged more businesses to adopt this revolutionary technology. The technology has the potential to revolutionize how businesses interact with their customers, automate processes, and develop novel solutions due to its capacity to comprehend and generate human-like text.

LinkedIn is not the only company working on writing-specific generative AI tools. Other businesses, such as Meta and Google, are also developing similar technologies. While Google's I/O 2023 conference this year primarily focused on generative AI, Meta, the company that owns Facebook, announced in May that it is testing ad tools powered by artificial intelligence to create content.
