During the Times Now Summit 2024, Bill Gates, the famed Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist, provided incisive thoughts on India's artificial intelligence scenario. Gates praised India's strong progress in AI research, emphasizing the country's ability to lead in this revolutionary technological sector. He praised Indian inventors like Nandan Nilekani and organizations like IIT for their cutting-edge AI work, predicting a future in which AI will play a critical role in tackling social concerns, notably in health and agriculture. Global superstar and philanthropist Bill Gates recently praised India's amazing success in a variety of industries, underlining the country's critical position in global affairs. Speaking at the Times Now Summit 2024 in a virtual interview with Times Now Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar, Gates expressed admiration for India's growth momentum, stating, "India is a key country for us."

Partnerships and Collaborations

Gates highlighted the extensive engagement and collaboration that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation maintains within India, particularly emphasizing partnerships with crucial ministries at both the central and state levels. He commended the cooperative efforts with states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Odisha, underscoring the proactive approach towards progress exhibited by the country.

Digital Public Infrastructure and Innovation

Reflecting on India's AI proclivity for creativity and cost-effective solutions, Gates praised the country's digital public infrastructure, which has earned international recognition. He noted India's sustained economic development trajectory in recent years, notably the resilience demonstrated in the manufacturing and services sectors.

Sustaining Growth Despite Challenges

Recognizing the limitations of maintaining substantial growth rates, Gates praised India's ability to maintain a decent growth rate of 6-8 percent over a decade. He regarded the achievement as extremely difficult and lauded India's aggressive commitment to advancement.

Gates' words are consistent with the primary theme of the Times Now Summit 2024, "India Unstoppable," which seeks to bring together powerful thinkers to set a visionary yet pragmatic route for the country's technology future. Today is the opening day of the two-day summit, with major people from India and overseas taking part in the unique program. These include Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena, Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pandey, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister Smriti Irani, actress and BJP Lok Sabha candidate Kangana Ranaut, Bill Gates of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Chairman of the 16th Finance Commission, and veterans from various fields, such as Chairman Dr. Arvind Panagariya and musician AR Rahman.
