India is now preparing for 6G technology, and a task group has been established for it

India has its sights set on the impending 6G technology, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who made the announcement on Tuesday (August 15), as telecom companies in the nation begin to roll out 5G Technology. PM Modi praised the introduction of 5G services in the nation while addressing the people on the 77th anniversary of Independence Day from the Red Fort ramparts, adding that the nation was also getting ready for 6G.

We launched 5G. The world's quickest 5G rollout is in my country. More than 700 districts have been contacted. And right now, we're getting ready for 6G," the PM remarked. He added that a special task force for the sixth generation of high-speed internet networks has already been established to push the ambitious project.

He alluded to the indigenous startup sector when he noted that young people from Tier II and Tier III cities as well as major cities were creating apps, developing solutions, and designing technical apparatus. Furthermore, mentioned by PM Modi was the importance of domestic startups in the next "technology-influenced" era.

The youth of the world are astounded by India's power. The world is currently driven by technology, and the next period will also be influenced by it. This provides a stage to highlight the technological prowess of Indian talent, which will play a new crucial role, the prime minister stated in his speech. Along with other things, he praised the government-backed Digital India initiative and mentioned how many developed nations had shown interest in it during his visit to Bali for the G20 summit.

In order to improve the agricultural sector, PM Modi also mentioned that the government was considering a plan to provide women-led self-help groups (SHGs) with technology training. In order to strengthen the agritech industry, PM Modi stated in his speech that 15,000 of these self-help organizations will initially receive training in the use and maintenance of drones.

The Push of 6G:

The current 5G technology will be replaced by 6G, the next step in the development of telecom networks. 6G technology, which is still in development, aspires to provide 100X faster internet connections than 5G networks, which can already reach 10 gigabits per second (Gbps). Not only that, but 6G technology may also be able to perform tasks that 5G was unable to previously, both on land and in the air. India has increased the stakes in this area as nations from around the world come together to create standards for the forthcoming technologies.
